Journey through the story of our legacy as trailblazers of beauty; explore our Mayfair salon roots and the making of a royal flagship.
Pioneering Botanical Beginnings
Our story starts on South Molton Street as small-scale artisans, hand-pouring natural hair care products in the basement of our salon. Herbal formulations and captivating fragrances laid the foundation of our philosophy.
Launched as one of Britain’s first luxury hand washes, ‘Bubbling Orange Grove’ as it was then known became recognised for its unforgettable citrus fragrance. Now known as the beloved Orange & Bergamot, our original collection is still a bestseller and an unmistakable icon.
A Lifestyle Destination
Leading the way in culture and style, our South Molton Street store became much more than a salon. With our in-house vegetarian café and blossoming flowers in the window, the atmosphere in the salon drew a cult following of music’s glitterati, film stars and the fashion world’s most elite.
Molton Brown led the way, and really focused on the individual. Everyone was unique.
