5 Self-Care Routines From Team MB
Whether it’s a perfumed-powered bath, a solo staycation or soaking up the refreshing nature of the great outdoors, we turned to our HQ team to share their best self-care tips.
1.Sunrise Forest Walks
“I usually go for a long walk in the nearby forest just before dawn. I enjoy the peace and quiet of the morning, and my puppy is always eager to explore. It's the perfect way to start the day, surrounded by nature's beauty and my furry companion's infectious enthusiasm.”
Lilla Bakos, Junior Digital Designer
2.Evening ‘Bath-Min’
“My Sunday night usually starts with a soak in the bath with my favourite warming body wash (Orange & Bergamot FYI). I'm not very good at relaxing, I'm the type who feels more zen when I'm getting things done. So, while my hair and face mask do their thing, I crack on with my to-do list which I affectionately call my ‘bath-min’. Once I’ve got everything done, I can relax and curl up on the sofa with a coffee table book. A while ago, I started to give myself a pay-day treat every month with a new one.”
Katie Ellwood-Smith, Brand Director
3.A Run With A View
“My favourite way to bookend the week is a long run. This is great for clearing my head because all I focus on for an hour is running (and avoiding any tourists). My go-to route is from the Anchor Bankside pub in Borough then along the Thames towards Battersea Park. Rain or shine, as long as I have my playlist, I’m running! Top tip for newbies: use the Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel Bath Salts to help melt away post-run pains.”
James Leyson, Junior Product Owner
4.Blissful Body Care
"My ultimate self-care day has to start with going for a nice long walk with my pooch or I've become quite the fan of a power plate class. Once I've got out of the house for a bit, I am a proper Sunday reset kind of girl which means cleaning, cleaning, cleaning! Once I've completely worn myself out, I end the day with a hot bubble bath. My body care ritual always includes lighting my Mesmerising Oudh Accord & Gold Luxury Candle, reading a good book and then finishing with my #1 Body Lotion.”
Jade Skinner, Online Learning Developer
5.Pilates & Pizza
“Pilates is such a great way to get fitter but also clear your mind after a busy week. Also, you’re forced to go if you’re friends are going too! Although, it’s all about balance (excuse the pun), so I like to follow the class with a delicious pizza from Vasiniko in Covent Garden!”
Georgie Sheridan, Marketing Assistant
